Salon bella is A green Salon

Every day, the salon industry in the United States and Canada churns out more than 420,000 pounds of waste. 

Salon Bella wanted to be part of the solution to this waste problem so we have partnered with Green Circle Salons. As a Certified Green Circle Salon, we recycle 95% of the items we once considered waste. This means we collect hair clippings, used foils, color-tubes, excess hair color, papers and plastics, glass and spa waste. We send it to Green Circle Salons, which then repurposes and recovers our waste, diverting it from landfills and waterways.

Hair

We used to sweep up cut hair and throw it in a trash can. Now, we send all cut hair to Green Circle Salons where it is recycled to make hair booms that are used to clean up oil spills. Real hair brooms can be used up to 5 times, unlike synthetic versions that must be thrown out after a single use.

Color

Before salons realized unused color could get in our waterways, it was tossed down the sink. Now, we send all unused color back to Green Circle Salons, where clean water is extracted and any color is used as pigments for paint.

These used to go into the trash. Now we recycle them.
